Why is Lätta Extra Fit classified as ultra‑processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The product is labelled NOVA 4 because it is made mostly from refined plant oils, contains added emulsifiers, modified starch, a preservative and a colourant, and includes ingredients that are not found in minimally processed foods. The listed additives are modified starch, mono‑ and diglycerides of fatty acids, lecithin (E322), potassium sorbate (E202) and carotene (E160a).

How does the salt content in Lätta Extra Fit affect a hypertensive diet?

At 0.75 g of salt per 100 g, the spread provides about 300 mg of sodium, which is higher than the typical spread average and contributes to daily sodium intake; people managing high blood pressure should limit portion sizes or choose lower‑salt alternatives to stay within recommended limits.

Is Lätta Extra Fit suitable for vegan, keto or gluten‑free diets?

All listed ingredients are plant‑derived, making the spread vegan, and it contains no gluten‑containing grains, so it is gluten‑free. However, with 28 g of fat per 100 g and 0.5 g of carbohydrates, it fits a keto macronutrient profile only if consumed in moderation because the total carbohydrate amount is low but not zero.
