Why is Super Noodles classified as ultra‑processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The product is made from refined wheat flour, starches, flavor enhancers, colorants, acidity regulators and other industrial ingredients, which places it in the ultra‑processed NOVA 4 category. Its label lists additives such as monosodium glutamate (E621), citric acid (E330), potassium lactate (E326), potassium carbonate (E501), sodium carbonate (E500), tocopherol‑rich extract (E306), carotenes (E160a) and maltodextrin.

How does the sugar and salt content in Super Noodles affect a diabetic or hypertensive diet?

With only 1.4 g of sugar per 100 g, the product does not significantly raise blood glucose and is relatively safe for diabetes when consumed in moderation. However, it contains 0.63 g of salt per 100 g, which contributes to daily sodium intake and may exacerbate hypertension, so portion control is advisable for those monitoring blood pressure.

Is Super Noodles suitable for vegan, gluten‑free or other strict dietary regimes?

Super Noodles is not gluten‑free because it contains wheat flour, and it lists crustacean, fish and milk allergens, making it unsuitable for those with those specific allergies. The presence of possible palm‑oil‑derived ingredients and non‑vegan flavorings also means it cannot be considered a certified vegan product.
