Why is Hipro 15g proteine gusto stracciatella classified as ultra-processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The product is marked as NOVA 4 because it combines a fermented dairy base with numerous industrial ingredients such as added sweeteners (acesulfame K and sucralose), cocoa flakes, modified corn starch, citric acid salts (sodium and calcium citrate), and the food‑grade thickener pectin (E440). These processing steps and additives place it in the ultra‑processed category despite its natural yogurt component.

How does the sugar and salt content in this product affect a diabetic or hypertensive diet?

With 3.1 g of sugar and 0.25 g of salt per 100 g, the yogurt is lower in both nutrients than many flavored dairy desserts, making it a relatively moderate choice for diabetes or hypertension when consumed in appropriate portions. However, the presence of non‑nutritive sweeteners means carbohydrate intake is still present, and patients should monitor total sugar intake from all sources.

Based on its ingredients, is this product suitable for strict diets like vegan, keto, halal, or gluten‑free?

The yogurt is not vegan because it contains dairy, and it is not keto‑friendly due to 5.8 g of total carbohydrates per 100 g, including 3.1 g of sugars. It is certified gluten‑free, but it lacks halal certification and contains cocoa derivatives that may be derived from animal sources, so it cannot be confirmed as halal.
