Why is Sauce Burger (Goût cheese) classified as ultra‑processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The sauce is considered ultra‑processed because it includes refined oils, glucose‑fructose syrup, modified starch, and a suite of food additives such as acidity regulators (E270, E330), stabiliser (E415), preservatives (E202, E211), colorants (E160c, E160a), and antioxidant (E385), all of which are characteristic of industrially formulated products.

How does the high fat and moderate salt content in this sauce affect a heart‑healthy or hypertensive diet?

With 33.5 g of fat per 100 g, the sauce significantly raises total caloric intake and can influence lipid levels if consumed in large amounts, while its 0.7 g of salt, although lower than many condiments, still adds to daily sodium intake and should be limited for people managing blood pressure.

Is the mustard in this sauce a concern for people with mustard allergy?

Yes. Mustard is listed as an ingredient and is a recognized allergen, so individuals with a mustard allergy should avoid this sauce.
