The Cream with mallow balsamic vinegar is a ready-to-use condiment sold by Lidl under the BATTS CLASSIC brand. It belongs to the fat and sauces (dressings and sauces) group, is classified as NOVA 4 ultra-processed and carries a Nutri-Score that is not applicable to vinegars, delivering low fat and low salt but a high sugar level from added glucose syrup and grape musts. While the vinegar base provides acidity and the product is vegan-friendly, the inclusion of added sugars, modified corn starch and the sulphite preservative (E14xx) may be a concern for diabetic, hypertensive or sulphite-sensitive consumers.
