Why is Hero Light Frutti Rossi classified as ultra‑processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The bar contains several industrially derived ingredients such as maltitol‑based sweeteners (E965ii and E965), glycerol (E422), citric acid (E330) and lecithin (E322), and it uses refined vegetable fats including palm oil; together with its processed grain flake base this meets the NOVA 4 criteria for ultra‑processed foods.

How does the sugar and salt content in Hero Light Frutti Rossi affect a diabetic or hypertensive diet?

With 7.6 g of sugar and 0.42 g of salt per 100 g, the bar is lower in both nutrients than many comparable snacks, but the remaining sugar can still raise blood glucose and the salt contributes to daily sodium intake, so people with diabetes or hypertension should consume it only in moderation.

Based on its ingredients, is Hero Light Frutti Rossi suitable for vegan, keto, halal, or gluten‑free diets?

The product contains dairy ingredients (yogurt powder and whole‑milk powder) and gluten from wheat and barley, making it unsuitable for vegan and gluten‑free diets; its high carbohydrate content (67.7 g per 100 g) also disqualifies it from a keto regimen, while it contains no pork‑derived ingredients, so it can be considered halal for those who accept dairy.
