The 20 crab-flavored surimi sticks are a 400 g ready-to-eat product made in France by the Top budget brand and sold at Intermarche. Classified in the PNNS groups Fish Meat Eggs and Fish and seafood, the sticks supply 6.1 g of protein, 8.9 g of fat (0.6 g saturated) and 0.5 g of fiber per 100 g, but also contain 2.1 g of sugars and 1.8 g of salt, resulting in a Nutri-Score of C and a NOVA 4 ultra-processed rating. The formulation includes crustacean, fish, egg and gluten allergens and uses the additives E420 (sorbitol), E450 (diphosphates), E451 (triphosphates) and E160c (paprika extract).
