Why is Saucisses aux Lentilles Cuisinées classified as ultra-processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The meal is made from multiple industrial ingredients, pre-cooked lentils, smoked sausages, flavorings and stabilisers, and includes three listed additives: calcium chloride (E509) used as a firming agent, ascorbic acid (E300) as an antioxidant, and an E14xx component that functions as an emulsifier or preservative, which together place it in the NOVA 4 ultra-processed group.

How does the salt content of this product affect a hypertensive diet?

At 0.87 g of salt per 100 g (≈0.35 g of sodium), the product provides less than a quarter of the Daily Reference Intake for salt, making it relatively low-salt for a canned meat dish and therefore more suitable for people monitoring blood pressure, though it should still be consumed in moderation within the overall daily salt limit.

Is this product suitable for vegan, gluten-free or other restricted diets?

No; the meal contains smoked pork and turkey sausages, wheat fiber and therefore is not vegan or gluten-free, and it also lists possible trace milk and celery, so it is appropriate only for omnivorous diets without those specific allergies.
