Tomate Saus

Tomate Saus is a 690 g jar of crushed Italian tomatoes marketed under the Mutti and OLUF LORENTZEN brands, classified in the ‘fat and sauces’ PNNS group. It carries a Nutri‑Score of A, low levels of fat (0.2 g/100 g), saturated fat (0.1 g), sugars (2.8 g) and salt (0.02 g), and contains only one ingredient – tomatoes – with no added preservatives or gluten. Nevertheless, as a canned product it is considered a processed food (NOVA 3) and provides modest protein (1.2 g) and no dietary fiber, so it should be complemented with richer sources of protein and fiber in a balanced diet.
