Why is Milka Noisette classified as ultra-processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The bar is considered ultra‑processed because it combines refined cocoa butter, sugar, hazelnut paste, skimmed‑milk powder and sweet whey powder with industrial ingredients such as soy lecithin as an emulsifier and added flavorings, which are typical of NOVA 4 products.

How does the sugar and saturated fat content in Milka Noisette affect a diabetic or heart‑healthy diet?

With 49 g of sugar per 100 g, the bar can cause rapid blood‑glucose spikes, making it unsuitable for diabetic meal plans, while its 17 g of saturated fat contributes to higher LDL cholesterol levels, which is a concern for heart‑healthy eating.

Is the hazelnut paste in Milka Noisette a concern for people with nut allergies?

Yes, the product contains hazelnut paste at about 13 % of the formulation, so it must be avoided by anyone with a hazelnut or tree‑nut allergy.
