How does the sugar content in Powerade Mountain Blast affect a diabetic or hypertensive diet?

With 6.3 g of sugar per 100 ml, the drink can cause rapid spikes in blood glucose, making it unsuitable for people managing diabetes; although it contains no added salt, the high sugar still contributes to overall carbohydrate load, which may indirectly influence blood pressure in sensitive individuals.

Based on its ingredients, is Powerade Mountain Blast suitable for vegan, keto, halal, or gluten‑free diets?

The formulation contains no animal‑derived ingredients, so it is technically vegan and gluten‑free; however, the sugar may be processed with bone char, which can affect strict vegan compliance, and the 6.3 g of sugar makes it unsuitable for keto diets, while the lack of alcohol‑based solvents suggests it is likely halal, though certification is not indicated.

While it provides zero fat, protein and saturated fat and low sodium, the high sugar level and multiple additives reduce its overall nutritional quality compared with whole‑food options.
