Why is nuts et banae classified as ultra-processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

It is classified as ultra-processed because the formulation includes refined ingredients such as vegetable oil, added emulsifiers, humectants and isolated fibers rather than whole foods; the listed additives are lecithin (E322/E322i), ascorbyl palmitate (E304i), a tocopherol-rich extract (E306), glycerol as a humectant (E422) and a natural flavoring.

How does the sugar and salt content in this product affect a diabetic or hypertensive diet?

The bar contains 12 g of sugar per 100 g, which is lower than typical snack bars but still contributes carbohydrate calories that must be counted in a diabetic meal plan; the very low salt level of 0.03 g per 100 g is negligible for hypertension, although the overall calorie density remains relatively high, so portion control is recommended.

Is the presence of peanuts and almonds in nuts et banae a concern for people with nut allergies?

Yes, the bar includes peanuts (about 21 % of the weight) and almonds (around 17 %) and both are declared allergens, so anyone with peanut or tree-nut allergy should avoid this product.
