Why is this crunchy fruit muesli classified as ultra-processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

It is considered ultra-processed because it includes refined wheat flour, extruded rice and corn cereals, added sugars, flavorings and caramel, and it uses the emulsifier E471 (mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids) and the antioxidant E306 (tocopherol-rich extract) as functional additives.

How does the high sugar and saturated fat content in this product affect a diabetic or hypertensive diet?

The 25 g of sugar per 100 g can cause rapid spikes in blood glucose, making it unsuitable for diabetes management, while the 5.5 g of saturated fat may raise LDL cholesterol; however, the very low salt level (0.13 g) is beneficial for blood-pressure control, though the sugar impact outweighs the low-salt advantage.

Is this product suitable for gluten-free, vegan, or nut-free diets?

It is not gluten-free because it contains wheat flour and extruded wheat ingredients, it is vegan as it has no animal-derived components, but it may contain trace nuts and soy, so it is not safe for strict nut-free or soy-allergic diets.
