Is the Adult medium breed lambd formula suitable for all life stages or only for adult medium-sized dogs?

It is specifically formulated for adult medium-sized dogs and is not recommended for puppies, seniors, or other size categories without veterinary guidance.

What is the primary protein source in this food, and how does the inclusion of rice affect a dog's digestion?

The main protein comes from dehydrated lamb, providing high-quality animal protein, while rice serves as an easily digestible carbohydrate source, though it adds a grain component that may not suit dogs with grain sensitivities.

Does this product contain common allergens for dogs, and what precautions should owners take?

The formula includes chicken fat and natural flavorings, which can be allergens for some dogs; owners should watch for signs of food intolerance and consult a veterinarian before feeding, especially if their pet has a history of allergies.

Product Insights

The Adult medium breed lambd is an adult dry dog food formulated for medium-sized breeds, marketed by Brit Care. It contains 40% dehydrated lamb and 35% rice as the main ingredients, delivering 26% crude protein and 16% crude fat, with added salmon oil, glucosamine, chondroitin, prebiotic oligosaccharides and a probiotic strain for joint support and gut health. While the high protein and functional additives are beneficial, the inclusion of animal fat, a moderate fat level (16%) and a grain component may increase caloric density and could be less suitable for weight-managed or grain-sensitive dogs.
