Is this gel safe for sensitive, acne-prone, or dry skin?

The high urea content makes it especially beneficial for dry skin, but the presence of sodium laureth sulfate, fragrance and a preservative (methylchloroisothiazolinone) means it could cause irritation on very sensitive or acne-prone skin; patch testing is recommended.

What does urea do in this body wash formula?

Urea acts as a humectant that draws moisture into the skin and as a mild keratolytic, helping to soften the stratum corneum and promote gentle exfoliation, which improves skin smoothness and hydration.

How often should this product be applied and does it contain any controversial chemicals?

It can be used daily or whenever a quick cleanse is needed; the formula includes sodium laureth sulfate (a common detergent) and fragrance allergens such as cinnamal, linalool and citronellol, as well as the preservative methylchloroisothiazolinone, which some consumers consider controversial due to irritation potential.
