Blancodent

Blancodent is a fluoride-free, powder-based toothpaste sold in Italy and packaged in a 50 g plastic tube. Its formula combines sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate as primary mild abrasives, with added silica for polishing, peppermint (mentha piperita) for flavor, sodium saccharin for sweetness, and small amounts of clove-derived eugenia caryophillate and sage (salvia officinalis) extracts. While the high level of gentle abrasives and fresh mint may give effective cleaning and a whitening effect, the absence of fluoride may limit cavity protection and the presence of artificial sweetener and essential-oil extracts could irritate sensitive mouths or trigger peppermint allergies.
