Why is Live Fit Sparkling Raspberry Peach classified as ultra‑processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

It is made from carbonated water, taurine, caffeine, glucuronolactone, a ginger‑guarana powder, a vitamin complex, natural flavor, citric acid (E330), and the artificial sweeteners sucralose (E955) and acesulfame K (E950); the presence of multiple isolated, industrially derived ingredients and additives places it in the ultra‑processed NOVA 4 category.

How does the low sugar and salt content of this drink impact a diabetic or hypertensive diet?

Because the beverage contains negligible sugars and salt, it does not significantly raise blood glucose or blood pressure, making it compatible with diabetic and hypertensive dietary recommendations; however, the high caffeine content may still affect blood pressure and heart rate, so consumption should be moderated.

Is the sucralose (E955) used in this beverage a health concern for consumers?

Sucralose is an FDA‑approved non‑nutritive sweetener considered safe within the acceptable daily intake of 15 mg per kg body weight, providing sweetness without adding calories; nevertheless, some studies suggest it could alter gut microbiota or cause digestive discomfort in sensitive individuals, so occasional use is advisable.
