Is this lamb‑based dog food suitable for all life stages and breeds?

The formula is designed for adult dogs and is especially beneficial for breeds prone to food sensitivities, but it may not meet the higher energy requirements of growing puppies or lactating bitches without supplementation.

What is the primary protein source in this kibble, and how does its grain‑free nature affect a dog's digestion?

Fresh lamb provides the main protein, and the absence of grains replaces carbohydrate sources with potatoes and peas, which are generally easy to digest and reduce the risk of grain‑related intolerances.

Does this recipe contain common allergens for dogs, and is it appropriate for pets with known food allergies?

By using a single animal protein (lamb) and eliminating cereals, the kibble avoids many typical allergens, though some dogs may react to peas or certain botanical extracts, so a gradual trial is recommended.

Product Insights

These dry kibble are formulated for dogs and feature fresh lamb as the primary protein, comprising about 41% of the formula, with grain‑free ingredients such as potatoes, peas, pea protein, and flaxseed providing additional nutrients and fiber. The recipe includes added vitamins (A, D3, E) and minerals (iron, iodine, copper, manganese, zinc, selenium) as well as botanical extracts, which boost the micronutrient profile but also reflect a highly processed product with many additives. While the high meat content and hypoallergenic, single‑protein design make it suitable for dogs with food sensitivities, the extensive processing and added supplements may be unnecessary for pets on a balanced diet and could contribute to excess calories or fat.
