Is Splash strawberry safe for sensitive teeth or gums?

The toothpaste is generally safe for regular use, but its sodium lauryl sulfate base may cause mild irritation for those with highly sensitive teeth or gums; users with severe sensitivity may prefer an SLS-free alternative.

What role does fluoride play in Splash strawberry toothpaste?

Fluoride, typically present at about 0.15% weight, strengthens enamel and helps prevent cavities by promoting remineralization, making it a key active ingredient for daily oral health.

How often should Splash strawberry be used and does it contain any controversial chemicals?

Dental professionals recommend brushing twice daily with a pea-sized amount, avoiding excessive swallowing, and note that the product contains sodium lauryl sulfate, a common surfactant that some consumers consider controversial, though it is approved for oral use.

Splash strawberry by Aquafresh is a strawberry-scented toothpaste presented in a compact 75 ml cardboard box. The formula combines fluoride for enamel protection with a pleasant strawberry flavor and a mild surfactant blend that helps remove plaque while leaving a fresh, sweet aftertaste. However, it contains sodium lauryl sulfate, which can irritate sensitive mouths, and the packaging material is not specifically disclosed, limiting its recyclability despite the green-dot label.
