Is Gliss Shampoo Color Perfecto suitable for sensitive or dry scalp?

The shampoo contains sodium laureth sulfate and fragrance components that can be irritating, so it may not be ideal for sensitive or very dry scalps, although the added hyaluronic-type silicone and glycerin provide some moisturizing benefits.

What role does dimethylsilanol hyaluronate play in this shampoo?

Dimethylsilanol hyaluronate is a silicone-based molecule that mimics hyaluronic acid, forming a lightweight film on hair to lock in moisture, improve smoothness and enhance the longevity of color.

How often should Gliss Shampoo Color Perfecto be used and does it contain controversial chemicals?

It is designed for regular use, typically 2-3 times per week on colored hair, and its formula includes common surfactants (SLES), preservatives like phenoxyethanol and fragrance allergens, which some consumers consider controversial.

Product Insights

Gliss Shampoo Color Perfecto 250 ml is a color-protecting hair cleanser marketed for use on colored hair, featuring a blend of hyaluronic-type silicone (dimethylsilanol hyaluronate), cranberry fruit extract and apricot kernel oil to promote shine and moisture. The formula relies on conventional surfactants such as sodium laureth sulfate and cocamidopropyl betaine, includes a cocktail of preservatives (phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate) and fragrance allergens (linalool, limonene, hexyl cinnamal), placing it in the ultra-processed NOVA 4 category. It is labeled gluten-free, but the presence of animal-derived keratin and multiple synthetic fragrances may be unsuitable for vegans or individuals with fragrance sensitivities.

Comparative Analysis

Positioned in the mass-market segment, Gliss Shampoo Color Perfecto differentiates itself with hyaluronic-type silicone and cranberry extract for color retention while using standard detergents and synthetic fragrance typical of mainstream shampoos.
