Why is Orange Zero Syrup classified as ultra-processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The product is labelled NOVA 4 because it is a formulated syrup that contains multiple industrial ingredients such as artificial sweeteners (cyclamate, aspartame, acesulfame K), the acidity regulator citric acid, the colour beta-carotene, the stabiliser gum arabic, a glycerin ester from root resin, carob bean gum, the preservative potassium sorbate and the antioxidant ascorbic acid; all of these classify it as ultra-processed.

How does the sugar and salt content in this product affect a diabetic or hypertensive diet?

With only 0.2 g of sugar and 0.0175 g of salt per 100 ml, the syrup adds virtually no carbohydrate load or sodium, making it compatible with diabetic and hypertensive meal plans, although people should still consider the impact of artificial sweeteners on individual tolerance.

Based on its ingredients, is Orange Zero Syrup suitable for vegan, keto, or gluten-free diets?

All listed components are plant‑based or synthetic, so the syrup is compatible with vegan and gluten‑free diets; its very low carbohydrate content (0.2 g per 100 ml) also fits well into a keto regimen, though the colour beta‑carotene source is not fully disclosed, so strict vegans may wish to confirm its origin.
