Why is Prteinriegel classified as ultra‑processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

The bar is labeled NOVA 4 because its ingredient list includes several industrial ingredients such as the sugar‑alcohol maltitol, the artificial sweetener sucralose, the emulsifier soya lecithin, the humectant glycerin (E422), and the stabiliser gum arabic (E414), as well as palm oil and collagen hydrolysate, all of which are typical of ultra‑processed foods.

How does the sugar and salt content in this product affect diabetic or hypertensive diets?

With only 1.7 g of sugar per 100 g, the bar is low‑carbohydrate and therefore suitable for most diabetic meal plans, but its salt level of 1.9 g exceeds the average for protein bars and may be problematic for people managing high blood pressure, so moderation is advised.

Is the presence of milk and soy in Prteinriegel a problem for people with dairy or soy allergies, and are there any cross‑contamination risks?

Yes, the bar lists milk protein, whole‑milk powder, and soy protein as ingredients, and the label indicates possible traces of egg, peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame, so individuals with dairy, soy, or any of those allergens should avoid the product.
