What window styles and frame types are compatible with the Fenster-Fliegengitter?

The screen is sized for standard rectangular, fixed‑frame windows; it fits most double‑glazed panes in the typical width range, but does not directly accommodate round, awning or sliding windows without additional adapters.

Are there any safety or fire‑risk considerations when using this insect screen?

The mesh is made from non‑combustible aluminum or coated polymer, so it does not pose a fire hazard under normal indoor conditions, but it should be kept away from open flames and installed securely to avoid sharp edges.

Is the product’s packaging or the screen material environmentally friendly?

The outer packaging is recyclable cardboard, and the mesh material is recyclable aluminum where local facilities exist; TCM certification also indicates compliance with German environmental standards for reduced waste.

Product Insights

The Tchibo × tesa Fenster-Fliegengitter is a ready-to-install window fly screen designed for German households seeking reliable insect protection. It features a fine, durable mesh that blocks flies and other pests while preserving natural airflow and daylight, and the TCM label guarantees a certain level of quality and durability. However, the screen must be precisely measured to fit existing frames, may be less suitable for irregular or sliding windows, and the mesh can accumulate dust over time, requiring periodic cleaning.

Comparative Analysis

Compared with generic insect screens, this Tchibo‑tesa set offers a premium‑grade mesh and the trusted TCM certification, positioning it as a high‑quality yet competitively priced solution for homeowners who prioritize both durability and effective pest exclusion.
