Is Drops + Carotte suitable for all life stages of rabbits and rodents, or is it intended for specific ages?

The supplement is intended for adult rabbits and adult rodents as an occasional treat; it should not replace a balanced hay‑based diet for juveniles, pregnant or lactating animals.

What is the main protein source in this product, and how does the inclusion of cereals affect digestion for herbivorous pets?

The primary protein comes from milk and milk derivatives, while the added cereals provide carbohydrates; the dairy protein can be more digestible than plant proteins but the low fiber and grain inclusion may be less ideal for the digestive systems of strict herbivores, so the product is best given in limited amounts.

Can the milk and milk derivatives in Drops + Carotte cause allergic or digestive issues for rabbits or rodents?

Some small pets are sensitive to lactose or milk proteins, so the high milk content may trigger digestive upset or allergic reactions in susceptible individuals, and owners should monitor their animals when introducing the supplement.

Product Insights

Drops + Carotte is a Vitakraft dry supplement formulated for rabbits and other small rodents. Its formula is dominated by milk and milk derivatives (about 50% of the weight), followed by oils and fats (around 25%), a mixture of dried vegetables such as carrots (roughly 12%), and cereals (about 6%). While it offers a protein‑rich, low‑sugar concentrate, the relatively low fiber level makes it unsuitable as a complete diet and it is best used only as an occasional supplement.

Comparative Analysis

Compared with most rabbit and rodent feeds that are high in fiber and low in dairy, this product contains a much higher proportion of milk and fats, giving it a richer protein profile but considerably less fiber than the typical market offering.
