What specific surfaces or materials can this Stabilo Point 88 fineliner be used on effectively?

It works best on standard printer paper, sketch pads, cardstock and light wood; it is less suitable for glossy photo paper, coated plastics or non-porous surfaces where the ink may smear.

Are there any safety or handling warnings associated with using this fineliner?

The pen contains dye-based ink, so it should be kept out of reach of young children, caps must remain tightly closed to prevent drying, and contact with eyes should be avoided; accidental ingestion requires medical attention.

Is the packaging of the Stabilo Point 88 fineliner recyclable or are the pens themselves biodegradable?

The outer cardboard box and the plastic barrel (typically PET) are recyclable in most municipal programs, but the pen components are not biodegradable.

Product Insights

The Stabilo Point 88 fineliner, sold in packs of ten, is a popular drawing instrument known for its fine 0.4 mm tip and ergonomic triangular barrel. Its pigment-based ink delivers consistent, vivid lines on paper, cardboard and light wood, making it a reliable choice for artists, designers and students. However, the ink may bleed on very thin or glossy paper and the tip can dry out if the cap is not securely fastened.

Comparative Analysis

In the competitive market for fine-tip drawing pens, this Stabilo fineliner is distinguished by its ergonomic shape and archival-quality pigment ink, setting it apart from generic ball-point markers.
