Is this eye patch safe for sensitive or allergy-prone skin?

The patch is formulated with soothing agents such as glycerin and botanical extracts, but it also includes methylparaben, aluminum glycinate and an aluminum-based colorant, which can trigger irritation in very sensitive or allergy-prone individuals; a patch test on a small area is recommended before full application.

What benefits does Scutellaria baicalensis root extract provide in this eye patch?

Scutellaria baicalensis root extract is a flavonoid-rich antioxidant known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-puffiness properties, helping to calm the delicate skin around the eyes and protect it from oxidative stress.

How should the anti-fatigue eye patch be applied and are there any controversial ingredients to consider?

Apply the patch to clean, dry skin around each eye for 10-20 minutes once or twice daily, then remove and gently massage any remaining serum; the formula contains methylparaben, an aluminum-based colorant (E173) and aluminum glycinate, ingredients some consumers view as controversial, though they are used at low concentrations and are approved for topical use.

Product Insights

Effet express soin choc anti-fatigue eye patch is a single-use, hydrogel-based pad intended for brief placement on the eye contour to temporarily reduce puffiness and tiredness. Its formulation blends humectant glycerin with antioxidant botanicals such as Scutellaria baicalensis root extract, Ginkgo biloba extract, Camellia sinensis leaf extract, and vitamin E and vitamin C derivatives, delivering moisture and soothing effects. Nevertheless, the product contains conventional preservatives like methylparaben, an aluminum-based colorant (E173) and aluminum glycinate, which may irritate very sensitive skin or raise concerns for consumers avoiding parabens or metals.

Comparative Analysis

Targeted as a fast-acting anti-fatigue eye patch, it differentiates itself in the eye-care market by pairing a hydrating glycerin base with a high-concentration blend of antioxidant botanicals, while still relying on traditional preservatives and an aluminum-based colorant, positioning it between premium natural patches and standard cosmetic alternatives.
