Is this eye makeup remover safe for sensitive eyes or for people who wear contact lenses?

The product is formulated to be gentle and is advertised as suitable for contact‑lens wearers, but because it contains propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate and a synthetic dye, people with very sensitive eyes should perform a patch test and may experience irritation.

How often should this product be applied and are there any controversial ingredients I should be aware of?

It is intended for use once per day after makeup removal; the formulation includes propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate, salicylic acid and the colorant CI 61565 (GREEN 6), which some consumers consider potential irritants or synthetic additives.

Product Insights

The Yves Rocher Por Bleuet Desmaquillante Exprés Ojos is a French‑made, dual‑phase eye makeup remover designed for quick removal of eye makeup, including for contact‑lens wearers. Its formula combines water, a C9‑12 alkane solvent, propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate, macadamia seed oil, vitamin E (tocopherol) and a centaurea cyanus (blue cornflower) flower extract, providing effective cleansing while offering soothing and moisturizing benefits. However, the presence of potential irritants such as propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate, salicylic acid and the synthetic dye CI 61565 (GREEN 6) may cause discomfort for very sensitive eyes, so users with known sensitivities should patch‑test before full application.

Comparative Analysis

Positioned as a fast‑acting, bifasic eye makeup remover that claims gentle, residue‑free removal and is specifically marketed for contact‑lens users, it stands out from typical eye wipes by offering a fluid‑gel texture and a blend of soothing botanicals.
