What baby weight range and age are suitable for size 5 diapers?

Size 5 diapers are intended for children weighing roughly 14–20 kg, typically between 2 and 4 years old, providing a larger waist and leg opening that fits growing toddlers.

Are there any safety concerns regarding the materials used in these diapers, such as the super‑absorbent polymer or adhesives?

The diapers use sodium polyacrylate for absorbency, polypropylene, polyethylene, and thermoplastic adhesives, which are widely used in disposable diapers and are evaluated as safe for skin contact, though they are not biodegradable and may cause irritation in highly sensitive babies.

Is the packaging or the diaper itself recyclable or biodegradable, and how does this affect its environmental impact?

The diaper core’s plastic components are not biodegradable and the outer packaging is not listed as recyclable, resulting in a higher environmental footprint compared with eco‑labelled or biodegradable diaper options.

Baby Toddler

Product Insights

The Auchan Baby Size 5 diapers come in a pack of 80 and are designed for older infants and toddlers, offering a high‑absorbency core built from cellulose fibers combined with sodium polyacrylate super‑absorbent polymer. They incorporate a non‑woven polypropylene top sheet, elasticized leg cuffs, and thermoplastic adhesive layers that help lock moisture away and reduce leaks. However, the product’s plastic‑based components and non‑recyclable packaging limit its environmental friendliness, and the overall Eco‑score remains unknown.

Comparative Analysis

Positioned as an affordable in‑store alternative to premium diaper brands, the Auchan Baby Size 5 pack provides a high‑capacity absorbent core and elastic fit at a lower price point, targeting parents seeking cost‑effective everyday protection for larger babies.
