Question 1

Is this roll-on deodorant safe for sensitive or acne-prone skin?

Accepted Answer

The product contains aluminum salts and fragrance, which can be irritating for very sensitive or acne-prone skin; users with such conditions should perform a patch test or opt for a fragrance-free alternative.

Question 2

What role do aluminum salts play in this deodorant and are there health concerns?

Accepted Answer

Aluminum salts, such as aluminum chlorohydrate, temporarily block sweat ducts to reduce perspiration, providing the antiperspirant effect; health authorities consider them safe for topical use, though some consumers avoid them due to personal concerns about skin absorption.

Question 3

How often should the deodorant be applied and does it contain any controversial ingredients?

Accepted Answer

Apply a thin layer to clean, dry underarms once daily, preferably after showering; the formula typically includes aluminum salts, fragrance, and an alcohol-based solvent, which some users view as controversial, but it does not contain parabens or phthalates.
