Is this shampoo safe for sensitive or acne-prone scalps?

The formula combines mild surfactants and soothing moisturizers, so it is generally well-tolerated, but the presence of fragrance, synthetic detergents and dairy-derived butter means it may still trigger irritation in highly sensitive or acne-prone skin.

What benefits does biotin provide in this shampoo formula?

Biotin supports the hair shaft by enhancing keratin structure, helping to improve strength, reduce breakage and add visible shine when used regularly.

How often should I use this shampoo and does it contain any controversial ingredients?

It can be used 2-3 times per week for normal hair; the product includes controversial components such as synthetic surfactants (sodium cocoyl isethionate, olefin sulfonate), fragrance and soy-derived oil, so consumers seeking completely clean-beauty formulations should consider those ingredients.

Product Insights

Briogeo Shampoo is a 473 ml vegan-friendly hair cleanser formulated with a blend of gentle surfactants, nourishing oils (Shea butter, coconut oil, Rosa canina fruit oil) and hair-strengthening actives such as biotin, panthenol and glycerin. While the formula offers moisture, shine and scalp comfort, it also contains synthetic surfactants (e.g., sodium cocoyl isethionate, 14-16 olefin sulfonate), fragrance and potential allergens (soybean oil and butter derived from dairy), which may irritate very sensitive scalps. The product is packaged in a plastic bottle, and the overall environmental score is unknown, indicating limited sustainability transparency.

Comparative Analysis

Targeted as a premium, plant-based, vegan-certified shampoo, it differentiates itself from standard drugstore options by emphasizing biotin-infused conditioning and natural oils while still relying on conventional surfactants, placing it in the upscale natural-beauty segment.
