What types of flooring can I safely use Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner Spray on?

The spray is safe for sealed, finished hardwood floors such as polyurethane-coated or water-based finishes, but it should not be used on unsealed, waxed, or lacquered surfaces where the solvents could dull or damage the finish.

Are there any safety precautions I should follow when using this floor cleaner spray?

Use the product in a well-ventilated area, avoid direct skin and eye contact by wearing gloves if needed, keep it away from children and pets, and store it away from heat or open flames as the formula is flammable.

Is the packaging of Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner Spray recyclable or environmentally friendly?

The bottle is made from PET plastic, which is widely accepted in recycling streams, and the formula uses biodegradable surfactants, reducing its environmental impact compared with conventional oil-based cleaners.

Product Insights

Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner Spray is a 22 fl oz (650 ml) ready-to-use cleaner formulated for sealed hardwood surfaces, delivering a quick-dry, residue-free finish. The formula combines mild surfactants and solvents to lift dirt while preserving the wood's natural sheen, and its spray-bottle design provides even coverage without the need for a mop. However, the product contains chemicals that can be irritating to skin or eyes, should not be used on unsealed, waxed or lacquered floors, and the plastic bottle, while recyclable, adds packaging waste.

Comparative Analysis

Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner Spray targets the premium hardwood-care market, standing out with its spray application and fast-dry, residue-free formula that differentiates it from traditional liquid mop cleaners.
