Why is the Strawberries & Cream Premier Protein Shake classified as ultra‑processed (NOVA 4) and what specific additives does it contain?

It receives a NOVA 4 rating because the ingredient list includes multiple industrial‑type components such as high‑oleic sunflower oil, cellulose gel, cellulose gum (E466), datem (E472e), carrageenan (E407), several phosphates (E340 ii, E340 iii), sucralose (E955), acesulfame‑potassium (E950) and a comprehensive vitamin‑mineral blend; these ingredients are typical of highly processed food products.

Is this protein shake suitable for vegan, keto, or gluten‑free diets?

The shake is certified gluten‑free but contains milk protein concentrate, calcium caseinate and whey protein, so it is not vegan; its carbohydrate content is only 3 g per serving, which fits within most keto limits, making it keto‑compatible for most users.

How do the sugar and salt levels in this shake affect people with diabetes or high blood pressure?

With just 1 g of sugar and 0.575 g of salt per serving, the product adds minimal glucose load and modest sodium, so it generally fits within diabetic and hypertensive dietary guidelines, though individuals should still consider the total daily intake and the presence of artificial sweeteners.
