Chicken & Beef Recipe

FreshPet's Chicken & Beef Recipe is a refrigerated cat food formulated with high-quality animal proteins, featuring chicken (about 55% of the blend) and beef as the primary protein sources, complemented by chicken broth, chicken liver, eggs, and pea protein for added amino acids. The formula offers a moisture-rich, grain-free base with tapioca starch as a carbohydrate source and carrageenan as a thickening agent, providing a balanced texture while delivering essential vitamins and minerals. However, the inclusion of carrageenan and the presence of common allergens such as chicken, beef, and eggs may be a concern for sensitive cats, and the product's high protein content requires careful portion control for overweight or kidney-compromised felines.
