Is Core Ocean suitable for all life stages of cats or only for adult cats?

Core Ocean is formulated specifically for adult cats; it meets the protein and energy needs of mature felines but lacks the higher fat and calcium levels required by growing kittens, so it is not recommended for kittens.

What is the primary protein source in Core Ocean, and how does its grain-free composition affect a cat's digestion?

The kibble's main proteins come from fish (salmon, tuna and herring), which together account for roughly 47% of the formula, while the grain-free claim is achieved with peas and potato protein; the high-quality fish proteins provide essential amino acids, whereas the plant proteins add carbohydrate and fiber that are less digestible, though the added chicory root prebiotic fiber can support gut health.

Does Core Ocean contain common cat allergens and what feeding guidelines should be followed to avoid allergic reactions?

Because the recipe includes several fish ingredients, it can trigger reactions in cats sensitive to fish, but it is free of dairy, gluten and soy; owners should feed about 30-40 g of kibble per kilogram of body weight each day, divided into two meals, and introduce the food gradually over 7-10 days while monitoring for any signs of intolerance.

Product Insights

Core Ocean is a grain-free dry kibble designed for adult cats, featuring a high proportion of animal proteins such as salmon, tuna and herring together with peas and potato protein. The formula supplies omega-3 fatty acids from fish oils and prebiotic fiber from chicory root, while remaining free of added preservatives and artificial colors. However, the inclusion of plant-based proteins, dehydrated flavorings, and the high level of processing typical of kibble may limit digestibility for some cats and the reliance on fish makes it a potential allergen for sensitive individuals.
